About the Red Fox ( Vulpes vulpes )

The red fox is the largest of the true foxes.  The red fox is incredibly clever and can adapt to many situations: it is not endangered.  Red foxes live in forests across the entire Northern Hemisphere from the Arctic Circle to North Africa, Central America and Asia.  Red foxes eat mainly rodents, but also any birds, reptiles or other small animals they can catch.  Sometimes they'll eat eggs or vegetables, but foxes are carnivores (meat eaters).
