Get ready to celebrate #EarthDay on April 22

Earth Day is an annual event held worldwide to inspire awareness of and appreciation for earth's environment. It was originally held on the annual celebration of the March Equinox and still is by many people. However, it is generally celebrated on April 22nd all around the world. Over 20 million people participated in the very first Earth Day.

Today over 190 countries around the world celebrate this special day. More than 1 billion people now participate in Earth Day activities each year, making it the largest civic observance in the world. Earth Day is a reminder for us to stay in the green state of mind and think and act in support for environmental protection. How is Earth Day celebrated in your town? Earth Day Canada is a national environmental charity. They partner with and support hundreds of organizations across the country, as they engage Canadians in annual celebrations of this special day.
